We Use New Lumber or Pieces You Provide

The majority of the wood we use is new lumber that is handpicked by Wayne. Usually this lumber will come from the big box stores however more specialized lumber yards are used for certain types and sizes of wood.

Do you have your own wood you would like to be used for your piece - perhaps a tree from a family property or your new home? Bring it to us and watch as we turn your piece of tree into a great piece of are. Is that piece of wood a log or stump that needs milled? We can usually arrange for that to be done too.

What we DON’T do

These days “pallet wood” is all the rave. It’s not that we do not want to be conscious about recycling, it’s that pallets are never guaranteed to be free f chemicals and toxins. Some Makers state they “clean” this material in various ways however the thing to consider is this: Pallets are used to ship anything from paper products to toxic chemicals and thy are often stored in less than stellar environments where animals may contaminate the pallets. In any of these cases, the chemicals, toxins, urine and feces penetrates the surface of the wood and becomes absorbed deep into the fibers - so deep that no sanding or planing will “clean” them. And because of that, we will NOT put your property, home and family at risk. In the case that your choice of design - for example “a pallet bar” - the “pallet wood” will be made by US from new lumber.
